FAQ - Student Verification

Students who attend a college or university and have a personal student email address from their educational institution are eligible.
Students under the age of 16 can only use our verification method with permission from a parent or guardian. We cannot verify whether a visitor is actually over 16 years of age and does or does not have permission from a parent or guardian. We therefore encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children in order to prevent online activities from taking place without parental consent.
In order to protect the privacy of students, the creation of an account is not necessary and we temporarily store e-mail addresses in our verification database. We use the e-mail address you entered only once to perform verification, to mail you your personal discount code and to store anonymised data for functionality, anti-abuse and statistics.
We have included most of the educational institutions in our register of educational institutions. Although our database has been set up and is maintained with all due care, some educational institutions may not yet be included. Please contact us using the button below and we will check as soon as possible whether the educational institution is eligible for adding.

Refer us

An email address from an educational institution is a personal e-mail address provided to you by your educational institution to which only you have access. This cannot be a general contact email address of your educational institution or a personal email address such as a Hotmail or Gmail email address.
If you have not (yet) received a personal email address from your educational institution, you cannot use our verification method and the student discounts, which you can only obtain using this method. This is currently the only method that allows you to verify your identity through our platform. Please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help you.
